Overview
This Cancellation Policy applies to all orders placed through https://jdmflorida.com and governs your right to cancel an order before it has been dispatched from our warehouse in Orlando, Florida. This policy applies to all product categories sold by JDM Florida, including used JDM engines, transmissions, combined engine-and-transmission assemblies, RHD vehicle components, front clips, exterior parts, interior parts, wheels, and all other automotive accessories listed on our website.
Please read this policy carefully before placing an order. By completing a purchase on our website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the cancellation terms set out below. If you have any questions before placing your order, please contact us directly at jdmflorida@gmail.com or by phone at +1 (407) 774-8324 during our business hours.
Because all products sold by JDM Florida are used, secondhand, heavy freight items — including engines and transmissions that require specialized LTL (less-than-truckload) freight shipping — the cancellation window is narrow once an order has entered the dispatch process. We strongly encourage every customer to confirm their vehicle's fitment, verify compatibility, and review all product details before completing checkout.
When You Can Cancel an Order
An order may be cancelled only if it has not yet been dispatched from our warehouse.
Once an order has been processed, picked, packed, and handed to our freight carrier for shipment, it can no longer be canceled. At that point, the shipment is in transit and outside our direct control. Any request received after dispatch will be treated as a return rather than a cancellation, and the terms of our Return Policy will apply in full, including applicable restocking fees and all inbound and outbound freight charges.
To give yourself the best chance of a successful cancellation, you should contact us as early as possible after placing your order—ideally on the same business day. Orders placed before 1:00 PM Eastern Time on a business day may be dispatched the same day. Orders placed after business hours or on weekends will typically be processed on the next available business day.
Business Hours (Eastern Standard Time): Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Sunday: Closed
We do not process or dispatch orders on Sundays or on US federal public holidays. If your order was placed on a Sunday or on a public holiday, the earliest dispatch would occur on the following business day, which gives you a longer window to request cancellation — provided you contact us before dispatch begins on that day.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email to jdmflorida@gmail.com. Verbal cancellation requests made by phone alone will not be accepted as binding. You may call us at +1 (407) 774-8324 to discuss your request, but a written email confirmation is required to initiate and formalize the cancellation process.
Your cancellation request email must include the following information:
Your full name as it appears on the order.
Your order number is as shown in your order confirmation email.
The email address used when placing the order.
A clear statement that you wish to cancel the order.
The reason for your cancellation request (optional but appreciated, as it helps us improve our service).
Upon receiving your cancellation request, we will check the current dispatch status of your order and reply to confirm whether the cancellation can be processed. You will receive a written confirmation from us either approving or denying your cancellation request. Do not assume your order has been cancelled until you receive a written confirmation from JDM Florida stating that the cancellation has been accepted.
If we are unable to cancel your order because it has already been dispatched, we will notify you immediately and direct you to our Return Policy for next steps.
The cancellation eligibility described in this section applies to all orders placed through https://jdmflorida.com. Product type affects how quickly orders are processed and dispatched, which in turn affects the practical window for cancellation.
Used JDM Engines (Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru, and other compatible makes)
Engines are heavy freight items. Once an engine has been palletized and picked up by our LTL freight carrier, the order cannot be canceled. If you placed an engine order and need to cancel, contact us immediately at jdmflorida@gmail.com. Engine orders confirmed before dispatch will be cancelled at no charge. Engine orders that have already been dispatched will follow the return process under our Return Policy, and a 25% restocking fee of the invoiced unit price will apply, plus all inbound and outbound freight charges.
Used JDM Transmissions (Manual and Automatic)
Transmissions are also shipped via LTL freight and are subject to the same dispatch timeline as engines. Cancellations must be requested before the freight pickup has occurred. Confirmed pre-dispatch cancellations will be processed at no charge. Post-dispatch cancellations become returns and are subject to the 25% restocking fee plus all freight charges.
Combined Engine-and-Transmission Assemblies
Combined assemblies are treated as a single shipment. The same cancellation rules apply — pre-dispatch cancellations are processed at no charge; post-dispatch requests are treated as returns with a restocking fee and freight charges.
RHD Vehicle Components, Front Clips, Exterior Parts, Interior Parts, and Wheels
These items vary in size and freight requirements. Smaller items may be dispatched more quickly than engine or transmission orders. Cancellation eligibility follows the same rule: before dispatch, no charge; after dispatch, a return with a restocking fee and freight charges applies. Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel an order for any of these products.
Special-Order and Custom-Sourced Items
From time to time, JDM Florida may agree to source a specific engine, transmission, or component at a customer's special request where the item is not currently in stock. For special-order items, no cancellation is permitted once the sourcing process has commenced. If a deposit has been paid for a special-order item, that deposit is non-refundable. This will be communicated to you clearly at the time of the special order arrangement.
JDM Florida may require a deposit on certain orders, including special-order items, high-value inventory holds, or arrangements where a specific engine or transmission is reserved at a customer's request pending full payment.
All deposits paid to JDM Florida are non-refundable under all circumstances, regardless of the reason for cancellation. This includes cancellations requested by the buyer due to a change of mind, inability to complete payment, discovery of a compatibility issue, or any other reason. The deposit compensates JDM Florida for the administrative costs, inventory reservation, and opportunity cost of holding or sourcing the item for your specific request.
If you are uncertain about whether a product is compatible with your vehicle or suitable for your intended application, we strongly encourage you to confirm all details with us before paying any deposit. Our team is available by phone at +1 (407) 774-8324 and by email at jdmflorida@gmail.com to answer compatibility and inventory questions before you commit to a purchase.
When a cancellation request is approved — meaning the order has not yet been dispatched and meets all the criteria described in this policy — we will process the refund of the amount paid as follows.
Refund amount: The full product price paid for the cancelled item will be refunded. Original outbound shipping charges, if already collected at the time of the cancellation request, are non-refundable in cases where freight has already been arranged or booked with the carrier, even if the physical pickup has not yet occurred.
Refund method: Refunds will be returned to the original payment method used at checkout. We do not issue refunds in cash, by check, or to a different payment method than the one used for the original transaction.
Refund timeline: Once a cancellation is confirmed and approved, your refund will be processed within 5 to 10 business days. The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your bank or card issuer and is beyond our control. Some financial institutions may take up to 10 additional business days after we initiate the refund to post it to your account.
Payment processing fees: Depending on the payment processor used for your transaction, a portion of the original payment processing fee may not be recoverable on our end. In such cases, the refund will reflect the full product price and any refundable charges; no additional fee will be passed on to you beyond what is already described in this policy.
If you have not received your refund within 15 business days of receiving our cancellation confirmation email, please contact us at jdmflorida@gmail.com so we can investigate and resolve the matter promptly.
The following situations represent orders or circumstances where cancellation is not available. These are firm policies necessary to protect the integrity of our operations and our commitments to logistics partners.
Orders already dispatched: Once an LTL freight carrier has collected the shipment from our warehouse, the order is in transit and cannot be canceled. You must follow the return process described in our Return Policy.
Orders involving a paid deposit: As described above, deposits are non-refundable, and the cancellation of a special-order item after sourcing has begun will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
Orders where the item has already been prepared and reserved exclusively for you: In cases where we have pulled, prepared, and photographed a specific engine or transmission for your order, and the item has been removed from general sale, a restocking fee may apply even if the item has not yet been handed to the freight carrier. This will be communicated to you in writing if applicable.
Cancellations requested by a third party: JDM Florida will only accept cancellation requests directly from the account holder or the person whose name and contact information appear on the order. We will not process cancellations requested by third parties without verified written authorization from the original buyer.
If you refuse delivery of a shipment at the time of freight delivery without prior written authorization from JDM Florida, the following terms apply.
A refused delivery is not treated as a cancellation. It is treated as an unauthorized return. The freight carrier will return the shipment to our warehouse at your expense. Once the item is received back at our warehouse, we will inspect it for condition. A 25% restocking fee based on the invoiced unit price will be deducted, and all inbound and outbound freight charges associated with the refused delivery will be charged to you. The remaining balance, if any, will be refunded to your original payment method after all applicable deductions have been made.
If you have a legitimate reason to refuse a delivery — for example, the packaging shows clear and significant freight damage at the time of delivery — you must document the damage on the carrier's delivery receipt before refusing and contact us immediately at jdmflorida@gmail.com with photographic evidence. Damage-related refused deliveries may be handled differently on a case-by-case basis, and our team will work with you and the freight carrier to resolve the situation. Full freight damage procedures are described in our Shipping Policy.
Do not refuse a delivery simply because you changed your mind or no longer need the item. Contact us in advance to discuss your options before a shipment arrives.
All orders placed through https://jdmflorida.com are subject to the FTC Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 435), enforced by the Federal Trade Commission.
Under this rule, if we are unable to ship your order within the timeframe stated at the time of your order — or within 30 days if no specific timeframe was stated — we are required to notify you and give you the choice to either agree to a revised shipping date or cancel your order for a full refund. If you choose to cancel under this rule, we will issue a full refund within 7 business days of receiving your cancellation notice.
If we notify you of a delay and you do not respond, we are permitted under the FTC rule to treat your non-response as consent to the delay for up to 30 additional days. If we cannot fulfill the order within that extended period, we will cancel it and issue a full refund without requiring any action from you.
This rule provides baseline protections that apply to all customers regardless of their state of residence. These protections exist in addition to any state-level consumer rights described below.
In addition to federal protections, customers in certain US states have additional statutory rights related to the cancellation of purchase agreements and consumer sales. Relationship Between This Policy and Our Return and Warranty Policies
This Cancellation Policy governs the cancellation of orders before dispatch only. Once an order has been dispatched, it is governed by our Return Policy, which sets out the full terms for returning products, including eligibility, condition requirements, the return authorization process, restocking fees, freight responsibilities, and refund procedures.
Warranty claims — meaning claims that a product is internally defective after delivery and installation — are governed separately by our Warranty Policy. A warranty claim is not a cancellation and is not subject to this policy.
Please review all three policies—Cancellation, Return, and Warranty—before placing your order to ensure you fully understand your rights and obligations at every stage of the purchase process.
Changes to This Policy
JDM Florida reserves the right to update, revise, or replace this cancellation policy at any time to reflect changes in our business operations, applicable law, or logistics practices. When changes are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. We encourage you to review this policy before placing each order. Continued use of our website after any changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
